“On 31st March 2017 at the Department of Biology of the University of Szczecin at 13 Wąska Street there was a scientific and technical conference entitled “Water conservation versus nature conservation”, co-organized by the Regional Directorate for Environmental Protection in Szczecin within the LIFE13 NAT/PL/000009 project. The conference was dedicated to those who are actively involved in improving water environment and in ensuring flood safety. The meeting was also attended by those who are interested in water conservation problems and those who wanted to extend their knowledge of some technical aspects of water ecosystems and their impact on the state of nature, both in streams and still waters. The conference was full of discussions which resulted in common arrangements for ways of natural waters management, especially in West Pomeranian Province”
