Regional Directorate for Environmental Protection in Szczecin supports the action of cleaning up the river Drawa banks in Drawno area

As a part of the project Active protection of water-crowfoots habitats and restoration of wildlife corridor in the River Drawa basin in Poland, LIFE13 NAT/PL/000009 LIFEDrawaPL, co-financed from EU funds European within LIFE+ financial instrument and by the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management in Warsaw Regional Directorate for Environmental Protection in Szczecin supports the action of cleaning up the river Drawa banks in Drawno area.

The scheduled date of the action 23 April 2016.

As every year, within the framework of “Earth Days” a travel company Jędrkowe Zakole will organise the river cleaning together with and the Drawa adjacent coastal area and selected sections of hiking trails in the area of Drawsko Pomorskie.

Depending on the number of participants the action will be carried out simultaneously in several directions, planned sections:

  1. Ecological canoeing on the Drawa, route: Dalewo – Jędrkowa Marina in Drawsko Pom.
  2. Hiking trails cleaning:
    • from Jędrkowa Marina to Młynowo;
    • Promenade (health path).
  3. Cleaning of the selected section of the coastal area in the Chopin Park to Jędrkowa Marina along with a shooting range.

Within LIFEDrawaPL project this planned action is a part of activities aimed at protecting river ecosystems in the river Drawa basin.
