The third visit of the LIFEDrawaPL project Monitor

On 28-29 March 2017 the third visit of the LIFEDrawaPL project Monitor, Ms Marta Kaczyńska, took place

On the first day of the visit there was a field inspection of the area and parts of the project’s objects. The first point was a meeting at the Geoecological Station of Adam Mickiewicz University in Storkowo. Besides the LIFEDrawaPL project team, this part was attended by executors of the monitoring at the initial state (task I – habitat monitoring) in the LIFEDrawaPL project – prof. Józef Szpikowski, dr Grażyna Szpikowska, dr Ryszard Piotrowicz. In addition, there was also present a representative of the Botanical Garden of Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań (task C.1 executor – multiplication and preparation of Groenlandia densa reintroduction) – Mr Piotr Gawlak. During the meeting in Storkowo there were discussed the methodology and the results of the initial monitoring, assumptions and progress of action C.1. Another point was the camping site in Złocieniec – a task already realised within the LIFEDrawaPL project. We were guided by the hosts of the facility – representatives of the Municipal Office in Złocieniec. After the camping site’s inspection, one of the field localities of Groenlandia densa multiplication was visited. In the field live Groenlandia densa shoots were observed – in the places where they had been planted in autumn as well as new shoots rooted vegetatively in the lower parts of the flow. The last planned part of the field inspection was to visit the DNP field station in Ostrowiete (task E.7 – permanent exhibition promoting the LIFEDrawaPL project).
