II National Zooplankton Conference

In the period from 31st May to 3rd June 2016 the representatives of LIFEDrawaPL team are participating in the II National Zooplankton Conference, organized by the Szczecin branch of the Polish Hydrobiological Society in Zatom near Drawno. The subject and location of the conference are closely related to the LIFEDrawaPL project “Active protection of water-crowfoots habitats and restoration of wildlife corridor in the River Drava basin in Poland” implemented by RDEP in Szczecin.

Almost at the same time the German organization Deutsche Umwelthilfe is organizing another edition of workshops “Lebendige Flüsse” – “Living rivers” in Criewen entitled “Auenlebensräume grenzübergreifend revitalisieren II” “Revitalization of cross-border wetlands” during which, together with the wetlands issues, an important topic will be the River Odra ecosystem as the migration route for many species of fish, including Atlantic salmon and Atlantic sturgeon.

Due to the relationship with restoration activities in the River Drava basin, the representatives of LIFEDrawaPL team will also participate in this meeting, as a part of creating a network with similar projects on the German side.
